Frome is famed for its Independent Market which happens on the first Sunday of every month from March - Dec (weather permitting). The town also has a regular Saturday market and is home to a host of small shops, cafes and pubs as well as a cinema and various restaurants.
The beautiful city of Bath is just twelve miles up the road. You can drive there, get the local bus, or take the train from Frome station. Glastonbury and Wells are also within 20 miles, as well as the stunning Somerset countryside with its rolling green hills and pretty villages. Longleat is very close by. The Kennet and Avon canal provides some lovely walks with plenty of pubs along the way.
