Notes

The Old Post Office’s corner-street position echoes its past as a community hub, and today it still feels like you’re in the prime location for a Frome adventure.

Enter the house through the lovingly restored shop front and door, to find a welcoming open plan living area: comfortable sofas, a dining area and modern kitchen are all easily accessible to your family and friends. Light floods in through the wall of post house windows, and the space will quickly feel like home. Relax into the fluffy cushions with a good film on Netflix or CatchUp TV, while the little ones (or big kids!) amuse themselves with the board games, toys and books provided in house.

The dining table comfortably seats four for a sophisticated dining experience beneath the glass chandelier, and doubles up as a handy laptop area. The kitchen nestles perfectly just beyond the dining area, and has been recently fitted with sparkling new amenities for a satisfying cooking experience. The refreshingly bold colour and design will make you keen to rustle up home-cooked feasts in this well-equipped space, when not treating yourselves to a meal out at one of the many tempting eateries in town.

Upstairs the stylish bathroom can be found beside the bedrooms, with a Grecian-style tiled floor, invigorating shower and sumptuous roll top bath. Hand towels and soap are provided, along with a useful baby bath for our younger guests. The adjacent master bedroom envelopes you with a homely yet classic feel, making it the ideal retreat after a busy day of sightseeing. The kingsize bed boasts a super comfortable mattress, and freshly pressed Egyptian cotton sheets.

The second bedroom would suit children or adults, as a fun space with cabin-style bunk beds, under bed storage for toys and games and an entertaining selection of childrens’ books on the wall shelves. With all this entertainment on offer you won’t hear a peep out of them til gone breakfast time! Please note that only children of 6+ years should use the top bunk, and the bunk beds are only suitable for adults of up to 100kg in weight.

Everything you need, and more besides, is parcelled up at the Victorian Post House, the ideal base for an exciting family getaway, or memorable reunion with friends.
